The Vitamin B1 Test is used to determine Vitamin B1 deficiency, which is usually a result of alcoholism or chronic illness, as well as malnutrition. The function of Vitamin B1, also known as Thiamine, is to convert carbohydrates to energy properly.

Those who drink excessively or exhibit irritability, lethargy, generalized weakness and anorexia.

Special Notes:
Fasting is required 12-14 hours prior to giving blood sample.
